Sonic Youth co-founder Thurston Moore will release his ninth solo album Flow Critical Lucidity in September.
American guitarist, singer and Sonic Youth co-founder Thurston Moore has announced his ninth solo studio album Flow Critical Lucidity, due out on September 20th via Daydream Library Series.
The album comes preceded by the advanced release of Moore’s brand new single ‘Sans Limites’, made in collaboration with Stereolab’s Laetitia Sadier.
His first album since 2021’s Screen Time, Flow Critical Lucidity features support from Deb Googe on bass, Jem Doulton on percussion, James Sedwards on guitar and piano and Jon Leidecker on electronics.
The new album will also mark Moore’s first full-length project since the release of his memoir Sonic Life. After cancelling a number of dates on his expansive book tour due to “a long standing health condition,” the American artist revealed that he was diagnosed with a heart rhythm abnormality atrial fibrillation several years ago.
