The change will make purchasing tickets online easier for music fans.
Good news this Monday afternoon, as tickets buyers can say goodbye to having to enter hard-to-read “squiggly” lines in order to prove they are human while using [link]ticketmaster.ie[/link].
Ticketmaster Ireland will follow the lead of Ticketmaster US in doing away with the current CAPTCHA (Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart) system. CAPTCHA was in place to block "bots" but it often frustrated customers, who were faced with typing out almostindecipherable squiggles to prove they were human.
People will now be presented with phrases, questions or ads instead before purchasing tickets online.
Mr Brian Mannion, Head of eCommerce at Ticketmaster Ireland, said: “We are constantly working hard to improve the customer’s sales process and delighted to put this new technology in place which will make buying tickets easier.”
