American musician, comedian and actor Tim Heidecker is back with a new album Slipping Away, set for release on October 18.
Accompanying the record, he also released a music video for the lead-single ‘Well’s Running Dry’, dealing with the themes of writer’s block and ageing.
Described as his “warmest and fullest record yet,’ Slipping Away features the Very Good Band, including Eliana Athayde on bass, vocals and additional production; Josh Adams on drums; Vic Berger on keys; and Connor “Catfish” Gallaher on guitar and pedal steel.

Speaking of the recording with Variety, Heidecker said: “Having been doing quote-unquote ʻentertainmentʼ for 20 years now in different forms, it was a revitalising experience to be out of my comfort zone a little bit. It was a learning opportunity.

“I finally got to a point where I was like, ʻLetʼs stop thinking about these things as genres.ʼ It comes out in different formats but hopefully it all becomes one big thing that Iʼm making. I think itʼs fairly united.”
Heidecker and his band are set to play a series of live shows in the US this summer with Snail Mail, Fenne Lily, Waxahatchee, and Gladie.
Best known for his work with Eric Wareheim in their comedy duo Tim & Eric, Heidecker has also appeared in films like Bridesmaids, Us and Ant-Man and the Wasp, although he considers himself to be as much a musician as a comedian.
