The band hailing from the Saharan Desert region of northern Mali is set to play the Olympia this November.
Mark November 11 on your calendars because Tinariwen are sure to put on an excellent show.
With over 1,400 concerts worldwide and 9 albums, the band return have returned in 2019 to tours across Europe and North America.
They have reached international acclaim over the past 18 year, from creating their own genre to defending their culture.
In 2010 they performed in the opening ceremony of the World Cup, to a global audience of 1 billion and won the world music Grammy Award in 2012 for their album Tassili.

The soundtrack of the Touareg revolution in the 1990s was made by electric guitars.
The gait of camels inspiring rhythms and expressing their rage against indifference and disappearing channelled through Malian blues and melismas of the Maghreh, Tinariwen created something entirely unique and beautiful.
Although the Tinariwen music style sounds like the great-great grandson the tradition blues, the band had claimed that they had not heard American blues music until they began travelling internationally in 2001. Instead, it's more inspired from West African music.
