"We spent much of 2020 isolating in that house, and I think there’s some strange alchemy in these songs," Tommy Cullen said. "They’ve never been available in a physical format before, so I’ve put out this collection for posterity. Enjoy!"
Dublin indie singer-songwriter Tommy Cullen has announced an upcoming physical compilation of singles, Gatehouse Recordings, set for release next week.
For the first time, Cullen's first nine singles will be available in physical format, including 'Violet Rainbow' and 'In the Winter'.
A bonus track from Cullen's previous work with alt-rockers The False and The Fair will also be included in the anthology.
"These tunes were recorded in the Gatehouse - a tiny house on a tiny river in the middle of Dublin city, where Juliet and I lived in 2019 and 2020," Cullen said. "My band had broken up, and I spent a lot of time in that house learning how to record myself and produce tracks with simpler gear."
While pre-ordered copies will be sent out in the first week of May, Gatehouse Recordings will be also be available early at Cullen's upcoming gig with Amy Ellen in Walters, Dún Laoghaire on Friday, May 2.
