The song's magical music video comes almost a year after 'Maltina' originally dropped.
Afro-Irish artist Tommy Tomad has been busy. After releasing the video for 'I Promise You That' back in May, he's now dropped the music video for his grooving single 'Maltina.'
Produced by Soundchef, it features Tomad and a woman dancing on the shore, moving in beat with the "mischievous sunbeam" of a song. Mixing Afrobeat, Afro swing, and Amapiano melodies and styles, Tommy belts out an "ever-progressive adoration for a women," while highlighting his enthralling musical talent.
Promoting the song before he released it last year, Tomad posted a clip of him singing the track with the caption "When she says I don't Nigerian Guys."
In light of the new video, he recently added that when recording 'Maltina,' "we embarked on a whimsical recording camp, where days melded into dreams. A gathering of my artist and producer friends filled the air with creativity."

Delving further into the process behind crafting the track, Tomad added that "Soundchef, the musical sorcerer, conjured a bewitching beat, which caught my fancy."
"'Maltina' sprouted from a freestyle, a captivating melody that clung to our hearts, and we surrendered to its magical flow. Then, Json appeared like a musical sprite, adding a kaleidoscope of melodies to our enchanting brew."
Besides featuring Json on the track, 'Maltina was also graced with a video directed by Rejjie Albert and choreographed by Jay Asolo.
Tommy Tomad is a rising artist since he debuted 'Sweet Dreams Tape' back in 2018 and since he's been artfully crafting a sound all his own. Featuring on Evans Juniors' Organised Mess album with the song 'Jayie' and supporting Adekunle Gold in the UK, he's an act that's transforming the Irish music scene with his enchanting and magical afrobeat sound.
