“It's been a while since we've heard anything new from Tool; the last album was 2006's 10,000 Days,” wrote Hot Press back in 2015 when rumours of the album first started circulating.
After thirteen years, the metal band Tool announced today that they would be releasing their much-anticipated 5th album titled Fear Inoculum. Rumours of the upcoming album go back almost four years, as Hot Press reported back in November 2015 that they was working on new music.
The album will be released on August 30th.
The good news for fans is that they don’t need to rush to the nearest CD store this time. Yesterday, they announced on their Instagram that they would make all of their music available online.
“This Friday, Aug 2nd, the Tool catalog goes up on all digital and streaming formats. High five,” they said in a post.

Tool had notoriously refused to put their music on streaming sites and are one of the last major bands to do so.
Pre-order information is TBA, according to Tool’s social media.
