Over four million people in the UK tuned in to the programme, which aired on BBC2 at 7pm last night. While this was significantly up on the current figures of under a million, it still didn't reach its highest viewership of 15 million.
The hour-long show delved into its 42-year history, and included snippets of the Geldof-organised 'Do They Know It's Christmas' single of 1984 and U2's recent performance of 'Vertigo' in the BBC car park.
