The DIY Club night TORANN aims to celebrate Louth's alternative and indie scene
Drogheda’s alternative club night TORANN is gearing up to host an all-Louth lineup, headlined by alternative RnB band Negro Impacto. The night is set for December 21 at McHugh’s, and tickets will be available at the door.
Supporting acts Hotgirl and genre-blending bbft promise to turn the night into a fusion of exciting alternative genres.
Drogheda's scene has seen a revival since 2022 with TORANN helping to introduce vibrant, new musical acts to a town where live music had dwindled after the lockdown.
Negro Impacto have generated a strong following with their soulful sound, captivating audiences at festivals like Electric Picnic and Primavera Pro. Often likened to The Internet and Steve Lacy, the Dundalk duo is a part of the RTE 2FM Rising class of 2023. Their recent support performances for artists like Madness and Ojerime have established them as one of Ireland's most promising musical prospects.

Dublin-based band Hotgirl present a unique blend of alternative rock, featuring sharp guitar lines and heavy break beats. Having recently performed at the Olympia Theatre and Brixton's Windmill, Hotgirl are developing new material for an EP anticipated in early 2024.
Bbft is known for its multimedia-driven performances, melding punk, trance, and jungle elements into an electrifying live show. Originating from Louth, Bbft’s mix of analog and digital sounds has helped them become Ireland’s most exciting emerging sound.
Tickets for the event on December 21 will be available at the door.
