Dublin native Alice Lynskey's latest track 'Souls' marks a powerful fourth single for this up-and-coming singer.
Dublin native Alice Lynskey’s latest track ‘Souls’ is our Track of the Day. The classic-rock-driven jam showcases Lynskey’s wide vocal range and unique tone – there’s something of the indie maven in her drawl, but it’s backed by a soulful sense of power.
With an electrifying guitar hook, a driving beat and a melody that lives in the ideal space between catchy and complex, ‘Souls’ is an impressive release This is a song meant to be played whilst on a road trip with the windows down, singing along at the top of your lungs without a care in the world.
This track isn’t the first time Lynskey’s made an impact on the Irish music scene. Back in April of 2018, her debut single, ‘Devil in Me,’ was released to widespread success across the nation, garnering her a spot on the RTÉ Radio One playlist. Her second single, ‘Lovesick Rollercoaster,’ was our pick for Track of the Day last July, and her third, ‘Obscene Dreams,’ dropped in October to further praise from the music scene.
You can catch Lynskey this summer at Westport’s Acoustic Yard Festival in May and the Follys Festival in July. More gig announcements are forthcoming.
