Synths and layered vocals permeate throughout this debut effort.
Today's Track of the Day comes from DemiGosh with his dark and atmospheric debut single 'Technicolour Flowers'.
DemiGosh - real name Ade - is an already well-travelled artist, being Nigerian-born, Irish-raised, and currently London-based. He's perhaps better known as an active member of both the Afro-Irish Blackfish Collective (also operating out of London) and indie band The Notas.
The move to start releasing music under is solo persona is a recent one, as Ade wishes to draw on his Nigerian Yoruba roots and Irish upbringing to create a sound reflective of his individual identity and experience.
'Technicolour Flowers' - along with its accompanying music video - provides a first insight of what this above-mentioned mix entails. Its afro-futurist pop sound is full, intricate and immersive with darker ritualistic undertones, and was crafted in a rather novel fashion through a session live streamed on Instagram, where Ade created a rough version of the song that he then fleshed out and released on Soundcloud a mere day later.

The visual accompaniment for the song was also inspired via unconventional means., when the work of Maximilian Wasinski captured the attention of DemiGosh when he attended the artist's Masters degree show at Slade School of Fine Art. Seeing pieces laden with infrared images resonated with Ade and aligned with his creative vision, leading him to then adapt and develop the feature and its visuals for the needs of his own work.
