Faraway Martin is the appropriately titled stage name of Máirtín Farragher, whose day job sees him work as a teacher out in the far reaches of Qatar, while his main passion is as a folk singer/songwriter.

Faraway Martin's sound is influenced by some of the folk luminaries of Ireland - with evidence of Damien Rice in there - but with a more straightforward folk-pop direction. Honest lyrics and catchy hooks mean that 'Falling In Your Sleep', his second single, leaves an instant mark on the listener.
