Oh Lawd is right.
2018 has been a slow burner for JyellowL, but it's now gathering steam at a nice pace for the rapper raised in Ireland to Jamaican and Nigerian parents.
The wheels have been in motion since June for the artist, who released his single 'Medusa' that month and followed it up with a string of strong festival showings over the summer, including most notably a memorable Longitude performance.
His forthcoming EP Me and Me 2 is also set for release this month, and 'Oh Lawd' marks the first single from it. Produced by Chris Kabs, the track deals with an "appreciation for the fundamental aspects of life but also an acknowledgement that our attention is shifted from those things that really matter when we get carried away with our daily trials and tribulations - events actually aren’t that crucial for our underlying happiness."
JyellowL is joined on the single by South London rapper Aaron U.N.K.N.O.W.N, whose list of previous collaborators includes names such as Stormzy and Lady Leshurr.

The rapper will also be bringing his brand of contemporary hip-hop and lyrical prowess when he supports Hi-Rez at The Bowery in Rathmines on October 6th.
