Dublin dreampop quartet Loraine Club returns with new single ‘Disco Biscuits’. This latest offering builds further upon their reputation for infectious dancefloor-destined gems.
Loraine Club's new track sets dreamy vocals and laid-back guitar licks atop a backdrop of retro-soaked synths and bass; creating a mood that is equally chilled and uplifting.
There is an undeniable groove to Loraine Club’s music and their sound often feels escapist, transporting the listener to a nocturnal world of hazy lights and moody dancefloors.
With its wavy Wurlitzer-esque vibes, ‘Disco Biscuits’ sports a carefree sound that gives the sense of being on a high. There is a youthfulness evident on ‘Disco Biscuits’, the track being the band’s take on a first time experience of a “gaff party in Dublin”.
The narrative follows a young reveller trying to get suitably lubricated so they can enjoy the evening’s festivities. The location in question is a print factory in the band’s home of Tallaght, which also doubles up as their rehearsal space.
In the band’s own words: “it's kind of become an institution to Loraine Club and our mates, a place we can go chill, play music and have the occasional low key party on the sly!”
