Hot Press Track of the Day: NY5HA 'Ignorant Infatuation'
Dublin group NY5HA released their new track 'Ignorant Infatuation' earlier this year.
A ballad soaked in pain, NY5HA 'Ignorant Infatuation' pulls at the heartstrings with the groups' powerful harmonies and soulful sound.
The production of the track is intimate and show, starting off with the lead singer's isolated vocals. IT feels cryptic, yet utterly compelling. As the track picks up the pace, the singer branches our her vocal range into an emotive, punching ballad.
The instrumentation is gentle and intimate - fusing elements of blues jazz with contemporary indie.
The Dublin group feature quite a large ensemble for a band - with seven members behind this track. However, it never feels over watered or crowded. The group's individual parts come together beautifully, each member defending their role as a vital component. Despite being fairly new on the music scene, the track still oozes a confidence that many musicians take years to achieve. NY5HA really know their sound.
