Track of the Day: Sectile's The Hunt
The band provide our fiery Track of the Day.
A year on from their eponymous debut EP, Sectile have returned after a relatively quiet patch with the release of their newest single 'The Hunt'.
The five-piece progressive metal band from Dublin have sought to build on the foundations of their four-track opus after letting it breath for that period of time, with this offering suggesting a refreshed approach to their sound. The booming single was mixed and mastered by Irish producer Aidan Cunningham, and provides a cacophony of varying sounds and styles taken from different areas of post and progressive metal.
"Lyrically, 'The Hunt' talks about isolation, despair and the feeling of being hunted by your past mistakes." Sectile said in a statement. "The sensation is further enhanced by the single’s original artwork, created by the band’s singer Gabriel Gaba, as well as the nightmarish video, Sectile’s first, entirely produced by the band themselves."
