Local staple Sky Atlas today releases their dynamic debut single, "News Today." Already a fan favorite for their live performances, the four-piece will be celebrating the release with a special single launch on 25 November at The Workman's Club with support from NICETRY. Doors open at 8 p.m. and tickets are available at the door for €5.

"News Today" is a funk jam through and through, but its stank-face-inducing guitar solo and wailing saxophone throw clear rock and jazz influences into the mix. The resulting genre amalgamation is endlessly catchy, the product of a group with true synergy and a defined vision. "News Today" explores a range of musical passages in its 4:30 runtime, which, although just right in length, will hopefully be stretched out in the live performance to accommodate additional moments for the instrumentalists to shine.
