The new track highlights Somebody’s Child’s talent for crafting songs that feel both intimate and vast
Somebody’s Child is a rising young Irish singer-songwriter whose music has been compared to Artic Monkeys and Foster the People. With an effortless blend of indie, alternative and pop, he has been making waves in the Irish music scene over recent months.
His debut single ‘Make You Alright’ received airplay on over 25 radio stations with total radio listener impacts exceeding two million. In addition, Somebody’s Child has landed on several Spotify editorial playlists, such as ‘Hot New Bands’ and ‘A Breath of Fresh Eire’.
Now, Somebody’s Child looks to cement himself on the busy Irish music scene with ‘Toes’. The track was produced by Ross Dowling (James Vincent McMorrow, Talos, Bell X1). It experiments with different elements and styles of indie pop music and is both lyrically and melodically driven.
Somebody's Child will play Whelan's 'Ones to Watch' Festival tomorrow, followed by an Irish tour in February including the Roisin Dubh Galway (13th) Whelan's Dublin (23rd) with more dates to be announced soon.
