The track was written as a heartfelt letter from singer Sean McGrath to his girlfriend, who deals with depression and PTSD.
Dublin three-piece Stolen City's new single, 'The Tower,' is a powerful and heartfelt track, perhaps the band's strongest yet.
'The Tower' was written as a letter by lead singer Sean McGrath to his girlfriend Amy to explain that no matter what she has gone through, or will go through in life, he's there to help her through it. With addiction and violence occurring in her childhood home, she has grown up dealing with PTSD and depression. The track proves McGrath's commitment to her.
"I don't care if it takes ten minutes or 14 hours / 100 days or a lifetime / I'll help build back up this broken tower / until you're strong again," he sings.
It's a beautifully constructed pop-rock track, with an uplifting message of hope.

Stolen City has had a whirlwind 2019, with the band selling out three nights at the Academy 2, Drop Dead Twice and upstairs in Whelan's. McGrath even joined Lewis Capaldi on stage in the Olympia for a song together.
