Dublin singer-songwriter Molly Sterling gives us the live treatment of her evocative new song.
Sweeping cinematography allows the viewer to see the component parts to this song, to see how it builds from Molly's piano-playing and lone voice - which ranges from being fragile to defiant from one beat to the next - into an intense, full band experience.
The video was in collaboration with DOCK . Shot in one take, it cements Molly Sterling's place as a talented writer and a live performer.
Speaking about the video for 'Stripped Down', the director writes: "The idea to shoot 'Stripped Down' in one take came from a pretty strong initial gut feeling. I was already familiar with the track, so when Molly approached me to be involved in the project, it just felt like it was at least worth trying a one take style. It's a beautifully dynamic song so I wanted the camera movement to match those dynamics and the emotions they convey. You never really know if its going to work until you're in it on the day so I'm just delighted it worked out."
