The band recorded their parts separately from the comfort of their own homes, collaborating on an intimate live version.
Wild Wonder have collaborated remotely on a special quarantine-edition live version of their single 'New Energy'. Each member recorded their parts separately, culminating in a split-screen music video. It offers an intimate look into their process, each instrumental and vocal part highlighted separately, and speaks to the band's resilience and commitment amid lockdown.
The studio version of 'New Energy' was released last year to much success, having racked up more than 60,000 streams and currently sitting as the group's top single on Spotify. A song about finding hope in a bad situation and returning with a new, refreshed sense of energy, it's a natural choice for re-release amid the pandemic. The raw and intimate feel of the lockdown-style video adds to the song's powerful message, reminding us that there's light at the end of the tunnel.
