‘Days’ is the final single to be released from Amy Ellen’s debut EP, presenting all of her singles in the one package.
Dublin-based singer-songwriter Amy Ellen has shared her fifth single in the form of emotional indie-pop/rock anthem 'Days'.
Ellen has been steadily rising with the growing Irish indie folk scene since she emerged back in 2019.
Having shared the stage with Emma Langford at Whelan’s and Fields in 2019, her debut single 'My Heart' was launched with a sold out show later the same year. Her most recent single 'This Life' paved the anticipation for her forthcoming EP, which will assemble her army of folk tracks in the one space.
Inspired by the aftermath of a breakup and the rollercoaster of emotions that come with it, 'Days’ brings this subject to light in an upbeat tune.
“For me, this song is about the transitional period between being in a relationship to suddenly being single again," Amy says of the track.
"The song represents strength and weakness but realising that in the end, time is the real healer. I remember 'Days' being a song that wrote itself. At the time I was listening to a lot of Green Day, it certainly impacted the way I wanted to arrange the melody in the song."

Amy Ellen’s inspirations lie in the music of Angie McMahon, Kurt Vile and Fleetwood Mac, despite the impact of Green Day in her latest track. Receiving airplay from Radio Nova, Dublin City FM, Dublin South FM and 8Radio; the singer-songwriter's pop rock instrumentation and punchy lyrics have garnered her deserved attention from all angles.
