Featuring almost conversational vocals, 'Fish' is a romantic genre bending indie-pop offering.
Annie-Dog's new track ‘Fish’ is a bedroom pop anthem for the lovelorn.
'Fish' marks Annie Dog's 4th track of 2024, serving as a follow-up to hypnotic debut singles ‘The Pressures of the Heart’, 'Double Cherry' and 'violence'66'.
The artist's latest release sees Annie-Dog delve further into a shapeshifting pop landscape, with the audible influence of Grimes and PinkPantheress.
Produced by Annie-Dog herself, 'Fish' opens with a glitchy sound, making you want to double check your headphones before immersing the listener in honey like indie pop.
Vulnerable, yet not overly morose, 'Fish' makes for bittersweet and incredibly catchy listening.
Speaking on the track the artist said: "Being told that there are plenty of fish in the sea when going through a breakup or whatever always feels so ridiculous...because,I’m sure it is the case, but what has that got to do with me? Maybe I liked that one fish in particular. I won’t be happy with just any old codfish".

She continues saying: "That was the general idea when writing this song. The hook 'there are so many fish in the sea- how could I need anyone but you now?' pretty much sums it all up."
With a myriad of influences the Annie-Dog moniker is derived from a Smashing Pumpkins deep cut.
