'They Say' is the third single taken from the Bray native's eagerly awaited album Infinitely Clear.
Hugely talented Irish singer-songwriter Aoife Doyle has this week released her latest single, 'They Say'.
The third single from her forthcoming album Infinitely Clear, 'They Say' is a soulful song about "learning to trust your gut and intuition" with fabulous brass arrangements by producer Michael Buckley and featuring impeccable backing vocals from Margot Daly. Doyle is also joined by a stellar band on the track, featuring some of Ireland's most in-demand musicians such as saxophonist Michael Buckley, trumpet player Ronan Dooney, pianist Johnny Taylor, hammond organist Justin Carroll, bassist Andrew Csibi and drummer Dominic Mullan. Stream it on her Bandcamp below.
"There are so many influences in this world and if we don't cultivate a strong sense of inner direction they can pull us in every direction and make for a confusing life," Doyle says of the track.
A performer for many years, it was upon moving to the west of Ireland from her native Wicklow that Doyle found her songwriting voice. "In Clare I had more quiet time to reflect," she explains.
"I think nature is the most primal form of creativity and living in the country and keeping a garden etc. you're seeing the cycle of creation from seed to plant to harvest. Watching this cycle has helped me greatly to understand the nature of creativity as well as the time, attention and care you have to give to gain a fruitful harvest. And this learning has facilitated my songwriting."

Her previous singles 'Strength to be Strong' and 'Clare Sky' have both been previously featured as Hot Press 'Track of The Day', and Doyle was also shortlisted as the East Coast FM selection for the Irish Music Month 'A New Local Hero' award.
