Singer-songwriter Audrey Bridgeman has kicked off the new year with her latest release. 'Come Away With Me' is a rousing new song suffused with vibrant instrumentation and lyrics that stimulate and stir.
The daughter of legendary drummer Noel Bridgeman (Skid Row, The Waterboys), Audrey charts her own course with a unique sound and an expansive roster of collaborations: Celtic Thunder, The Pale, Havana Che, Mik Pyro and Pucho and His Latin Soul Brothers.
Blending world music with blues, funk and rock airs, 'Come Away With Me' was co-written by Bridgeman and guitarist Gerry Hendrick. The track begins with a shimmering guitar resound that rings out before introducing Bridgeman’s soaring vocals.
'Come Away With Me' is an effervescent number fleshed out by choral backing vocals and synths that surge forward at the track’s most urgent moments. The track boasts a barreling percussion section that tumbles towards a harmonised, a capella coda.
Speaking about the single, the singer comments: "The song is based on an Afro groove and also features Zeenie Summers and Nono Size Madolo.

The song is ultimately about love and the importance of connection with others. The message of the song is a reminder that we all deserve a safe haven to express ourselves freely and pursue our dreams and happiness. We are more alike than different in striving for and wanting the same things: happiness, peace, freedom, equality and love."
