To accompany their new release, the band have offered up a brand new music video - capturing the feel of their end of summer tune.
Dublin indie outfit, Big Sleep, has released the chill out tune of the year in the form of laid back ballad 'All of the Pretty Things'. The third release from the quartet's sophomore EP, their latest release was recorded, produced and mixed by James Smith (Gypsies on the Autobahn, J Smith) in Hellfire Studios and mastered by Pete Maher.
Inspired by the sounds of JJ Cale, Skinshape, and DOPE LEMON, 'All of the Pretty Things' is the perfect lazy Sunday afternoon track. Spring reverb aids in the chill feel exuding from the groovy riffs, along with soft bass, drum beats, and background vocals keeping a solid grounding. Most of all, the gritty indie-dripping vocals drawl allows for ultimate sleepy vibes.
Alongside the track release, Big Sleep have released a paired back, simplistic music video for the track. Featuring the band hanging out it a sitting room and playing the tune, the fairy light adorned space adds to the relxaing nature of the release.
According to the band: "All of the Pretty Things' needed a slower pace than the other tracks on this EP. We wanted to give this one space to breathe, we were focused on stripping it back to its core elements. We all have a deep love of contemplative songs that aren't in a rush. We admire artists like JJ Cale, Adrianne Lenker, and Bon Iver who do this really well with songs like 'Magnolia', 'Jonathan' and 'Bloodbank'. The idea came about just two weeks before we were set to go into the studio. We weren't planning on including it in the project but as soon as it was finished we all agreed it had to be part of the tracklist. Definitely one of our favourites that we've written so far."

The Dublin-based group partly came together at school and other's later joined through the city's live music scene. Blending indie-alternative influences with pop and soul, the Irish-Italian outfit creates soundscapes that land in the intersection somewhere between JJ Cale, Jamiroqaui, and Joy Division.
Summer 2022 saw the quartet release their debut EP which received international radio play (BBC Radio 6, Amazing Radio, RTÉ 2FM) and featured on Spotify's 'Hot New Bands', 'All New Rock' and 'New Music Friday' playlists, alongside European tour dates across Ireland, Italy and France. Big Sleep also had packed out performances at Sea Sessions and Electric Picnic, then finished 2022 with another Irish and UK Tour.
The band kicked off 2023 by joining acclaimed indie rocker, Somebody's Child on their Irish Tour and are set to release further singles ahead of their sophomore EP release.
You can catch Big Sleep twice at Electric Picnic 2023, at Ireland Music Week from October 3 - 6, at their Grand Social, Dublin headliner on November 25 and at their Sebright Arms, London headliner on November 29.
