Track of the Day: Brad Heidi, ‘Don’t Let Go’

A year after winning the live finale of Hot Press: A New Local Hero, singer-songwriter Brad Heidi has now shared his single, 'Don't Let Go' – recorded as part of the prestigious talent search's top prize.

The Galway-native was given the opportunity to record the tune at the iconic Camden Recording Studios in Dublin, working with renowned producer and arranger Cian Boylan alongside mixer Ruadhri Cushnan.

“‘Don't Let Go' isn't just a song,” Heidi explained. “It's a reflection of a million emotions intertwined with my personal journey through the agonies and the ecstasies of the music industry. Its melody echoes the emotional struggle of battling through the multiple challenges involved in being an artist – and, perhaps more significantly, on occasion battling with my inner self to pursue my musical dreams to the fullest."

The new track encapsulates Heidi’s relentless pursuit of his art, drawing inspiration from the restless dedication that brought him from the streets of Galway to international stages shared with icons like Billy Joel, James Blunt and Gavin James. "I've always sought to encapsulate the essence of my musical journey metaphorically within my songs," he adds. "And sometimes, amidst all the chaos, the answer is as simple as 'Don't Let Go'," Heidi explained.
