The singer's upcoming album is set for release June 30th, but is available to preorder now.
‘Counting Down’ is the latest release from Brigid Mae Power’s upcoming album, Dream From The Deep Well. The single, released today is reminiscent of the singer’s well-recognisable dream-pop style, and folk inclination, however with the unique blend the forthcoming album embodies of traditional stylings and modern melodies.
With a mellow beat and robust narrative, ‘Counting Down’ delves into the singer’s disillusionment with music and touring that was born out of meeting people on the road then leaving to head onto the next town.
As stunning shots filter through the Super 8 film effect, the visual takes on a ‘Summertime Sadness’ style, giving the video a cool, folkloric feel.
Power sings “A week feels fun/ But any more feels too long/ A sadness comes into my eyes/ As I watch families walk by,” as the listener sits like a buoy in a sea of soft, luscious soundings, bobbing into the narrative of ‘Counting Down.’
