The song was originally written a number of years ago, however recent months have warranted the revival of 'Borrowed Life'.
Sisters, singer-songwriters and multi-instrumentalists Méabh and Mella Carron formed their namesake band CARRON as a healing project during a period of extensive hospital treatment.
They released their No. 1 debut EP 'Roots' in 2016 to critically-acclaimed reviews - along with follow-up singles 'Prison Robes,' 'Battle Lines', 'Even Sad Birds Sing' and 'Numb' - which received extensive Irish airplay.
With themes of uncertainty, hindsight and regret predominant throughout the lyrics, 'Borrowed Life' was perfectly suited to close out CARRON’s quarantine collaboration series of singles over the summer.
"Lockdown 2.0 has been tough," the duo said. "Recording this video really helped pick up our spirits and remind us what we're here for. Please enjoy our performance of 'Borrowed Life' live from the living room, presented as part of the Amazing Radio CMJ Music Marathon 2020 festival. Hope you all like it!"

In their music and song-writing which they create alongside long-time collaborator Darragh McGrath, they aim to create a sense of one united female voice that is amplified by the strength of their sibling bond, to blend impeccable harmonies through shared blood, and to subtly nod toward their Irish heritage and backgrounds in musical theatre whilst maintaining a contemporary and powerful sound.
