Tipped by Hot Press as Northern Ireland’s next big thing, Conor Scott has shared his latest release since 2020's 'Overthinking'.
Fresh from returning to Belfast after a period of time spent forging a music career in London, Conor Scott is back and is ready to go with beautiful new single 'Life Now'.
Having built up a sizeable online following and garnered recent support and praise for his Mahogany Sessions performance; Conor is busy showing how lockdown as an independent artist can be done. The artist also gave a rousing Hot Press Lockdown Sessions performance and shared a lockdown-created video for 'Overthinking'. The clip features a few familiar faces, including Moncrieff, Travi The Native, Larks and Blue Americans.
‘Life Now’ dwells bang centre within the indie-pop/folk-rock spectrum, displaying a distinctive vocal range of melodic dulcet tones and powerful heart-wrenching chants accompanied by a pulsating guitar rhythm.
Scott's soft yet powerful vocals and hypnotic melody parallel with matured lyrics and a relatable subject matter from the Northern Irish talent.
“This is the first song I’ve written that is mainly stemming from an objective view of the world, and not so much based on relationships," Conor said of the track's genesis.

"I wrote it right in the middle of the first lockdown so it was hard not to look at all the things that were happening. That said, I didn't want to have something totally doom and gloom, and I think you can take quite a few positive affirmations out of the song also. Hope, I suppose.”
