Cosha introduces her upcoming solo project with the heartbreaking new track 'Fire Me Up.'
Her first release since 2021, Cosha’s latest single ‘Fire Me Up’ does exactly as its title suggests, launching the budding icon back onto the scene pervaded by authenticity and passion.
As the first release from her upcoming EP Murmurs, due out 9th May, ‘Fire Me Up’ marks the beginning of a new era for Cosha.
“I made that beat on the plane when I was leaving from London to LA,” Cosha said of the new release. “It made it even harder because it was really about that like, ‘I still love you, I still want you in my life but we do need to do this and we’re both quietly in the distance for each other. You’re never not going to be someone I care about.’”
Drawn away from the small Co. Wicklow fishing town of her childhood at 17, Cosha found herself quickly immersed in the London-based music industry, touring with artists like Mura Masa, Flume, Tirzah and Nile Rodgers while songwriting for Charlie XCX and Shygirl. Before long, Cosha was soundtracking commercials for major brands such as Dior, Apple and Victoria’s Secret alongside hit TV shows Gossip Girl and Conversations With Friends.
Following her 2021 debut solo project Mt. Pleasant, Cosha takes on a slower pace as she moves away from the flurry of city life and reconnects with her roots.

Filled with raw emotion, ‘Fire Me Up’ explores the complicated feelings that come with letting go of intense love. Holding back tears as she sings, Cosha’s harrowing vocals tell a beautiful story of intimacy and loss.
“I remember I was trying to sing the vocals and it was obviously really raw and I couldn’t sing it, I kept choking up and crying,” Cosha said of the new track. “That’s actually the take on the song, me trying to hold it in and sing through it.”
