The Mayo-based musician developed the project while he was living in Dublin.
The highly-anticipated announcement of Deadbeat Drew's new EP, You Should Find, was accompanied by a brand new single, 'Saviour'.
The EP will be a collection of four tracks that bridge the worlds of dance, indie, disco, dream-pop and techno, 'You Should Find' is a testament to the tracks and dancefloors that the Mayo-based musician grew up on.
'Saviour', meanwhile, is sure to quickly establish Deadbeat Drew as one of the more exciting up-and-coming producers in Ireland. Combining dreamy pop hooks and wistful electronic soundscapes, 'Saviour' turns into an expansive dance tracks. There are distinct callbacks to 80s electronica, but they're backed by lo-fi production and a swirling, layered vocal.
"I think this song is really me trying to push myself to write something that I hadn't tried before, but follows a direction I would like to take more into the future," says Deadbeat Drew.

"I've always enjoyed listening to a lot of dream pop, and I think this song is a nod to that, the combination of melodies and atmosphere is something I've always been very drawn towards. But I've always struggled to implement it into my own music, I think I'm guilty of overblowing songs with too many elements, when there has been no need for it. I remember when I recorded the bridge of the song, where there are only a number of vocal takes overdubbed with one single pad, it took me a while to realise that I had the finished song staring at me in the face, I was too busy thinking about what else I could throw in there, just for the sake of it."
