Choice Music Prize-nominated artist and producer Elaine Mai continues her climb to the top as she unveils her latest track ‘Echo’, featuring award-winning rapper and producer MuRli.
A powerful testament to the importance of speaking out in the face of adversity, ‘Echo’ is the perfect amalgamation of MuRli’s evocative lyricism and Mai’s dynamic, synth-driven productions.
“It's bigger than me and you, bigger than billions,” MuRli sings on the track, a statement that is sure to ring true as the song finds its way into the hearts and minds of listeners.

“I'm a big fan of learning,” MuRli said. “There aren't ready-made solutions for every issue we face, and yet there's little harm in looking for one nevertheless. Falls, stumbles and embarrassments can all be part of the process of the journey that is progress. I've come to realise that it's healthier for me to voice my concerns to people I trust and respect. Not for them to agree with me, but it helps to have perspective. So I speak up while also listening out for voices that aren't just echoes of mine.”

Known for her unique electronic soundscapes, Mai has consistently captivated audiences ever since the release of her debut album Home back in 2021. The record quickly gained traction, earning widespread acclaim, two Choice Music Prize nominations and cementing the rising artists as a leading voice in Ireland’s ongoing electro-pop craze.
Praised for her ambient, laid-back performances, Mai is preparing for a busy summer of festival appearances and live shows. Kicking things off with a double weekender at Beyond the Pale on June 22 followed by Sea Sessions on the 23rd, Mai will end the season with an appearance at All Together Now over the August Bank Holiday weekend. Just a few months later, Mai will return to Dublin for her biggest headline show yet at The Button Factory on November 22. Tickets for the show are on sale now.
