Esmeralda Road blends grit and soul in their latest single 'I Think'.
A rising talent on Belfast’s burgeoning music scene, Esmeralda Road has today released a new dizzying jazz-like track ‘I Think’.
With breakbeat grooves, brass percussion and crooning vocals, ‘I Think’ is a pulsating track brimming with energy.
Lead vocalist and lyricist Charlie Magill describes ‘I Think’ in his own words saying: “This track for me encapsulates the highs and lows one feels when they find themselves in a 'casual' relationship. Feelings that aren't quite love and hate but rather just satisfaction and dissatisfaction”.
Esmeralda Road (formerly known as Moonboot) is composed of frontman Charlie Magill, drummer Aodhan Moran, keyboardist Josh Vance, bassist Calvin Wells, guitarist Ben Murray, saxophonist Josh Baker and trumpeter Tony Cowan.
Originally formed as a humble 3-piece outfit in 2021 during their final days of secondary school, Esmeralda Road has since undergone a remarkable evolution, expanding into a dynamic septet that includes a captivating horn section
The critically acclaimed band clinched the Single of the Year award at the prestigious NI Music Prize for their debut self-produced and self-released track, "To U"

Their latest offering is a teeming high energy affair encapsulating the somber intimacy of influences like King Krule with the raw energy and emotion of piers Fontaines D.C however with a white hot lick of jazz.
The track also comes complete with a gorgeous music video directed by Sarah Ellis.
