Speaking about the single, Buckling says 'Fading On Me' is "bit more angry" than her previous work.
A sultry new offering from the Dublin artist, 'Fading on Me' is the sophomore single from Eve Buckley.
The new single delivers a previously unseen insight into the relatively new artist's emerging style. 'Fading on Me' is a sing- along banger which has a slight musical theatre undertone in its dramatic climax.
Beginning with gentle keys, you'd be forgiven for thinking Buckley's second offering would follow the footsteps of her debut, but as the Dublin artist says this single is "a bit more angry!".
Layering the artist's honeyed vocals with synths and a dreamy guitar line, 'Fading on Me' is a song for the angry girls out there. With damning lyrics of being done with someone's toxicity, 'Fading on Me' is an empowerment ballad about the liberation found by moving on.
Speaking on the recent release the Buckley said: "The song is basically about a bad break-up and the aftermath feelings of betrayal. Rather than festering in an angry and embittered state, I decided to put it into a song. It was very therapeutic!"

The first two singles are paving the way for greater things for the artist; with an EP hinted at arriving later this year: "There’s definitely going to be an EP later this year! Buckley teases.
"The EP is going to be about me and my emotional being" Buckley says.
