Ezra Williams' debut album Supernumeraries arrives on June 16th, 2023 via AWAL.
Irish indie artists Ezra Williams and Sammy Copley have teamed up for a beautifully honest new single, 'Until I'm Home'.
"Don't wanna lean too much / I could get used to using you as a crutch," the pair harmonise, describing the feeling of dependence on a loved one when you're struggling to hold the world on your shoulders.
The mingling of their choral-like, angelic voices is a match made in sonic heaven. The track follows recent Ezra Williams singles 'Bleed' and 'Deep-Routed' from their forthcoming debut album Supernumeraries.
Penned from the perspective of a young, neurodivergent non-binary person establishing and maintaining emotional relationships, the blunt honesty offers solace to eager listeners seeking out their tribe.

The track blends playful synths with Ezra's signature breezy acoustic guitar and introspective lyrics that delve into their personal experiences.
“I wrote this song on the train home from hanging out with my girlfriend at the time,” they explain. “I overthink everything and cannot be left alone with my own thoughts for a second or I’ll feel like the world is collapsing in on me.”
"Everyone cannot be right / That's how I know that there's more for me to fight / And this big list of burdens I pass onto you are only easy 'til you're home / But then it's late, and you're alone."
Williams (formerly known as Smoothboi Ezra) grew up in Wicklow before moving to Cork, with 2020 single ‘My Own Person’ featuring on the Netflix series Heartstopper last year.
Supernumeraries is preceded by 2021 EP Stuck and 2019's IS IT. The fast-rising talent recently played Glastonbury’s Emerging Talent Competition, and will play further live dates later this year.

Sammy Copley supported The Academic at Windmill Live earlier this year, wowing the audience with tracks from his Little Box EP. December 2022 saw the Hot for 2023 singer-songwriter included among TikTok’s Top 10 most viewed artists in Ireland.
Sammy struck a particularly powerful chord with his fans through singles ‘To The Bone’, which has garnered over 1.6 million Spotify streams, and ‘Irish Goodbye’, which explores young Irish people’s difficult relationship with their country. With sold-out shows and a deal with Tinpot Records under his belt, you can expect to hear lots more of this 22-year-old this year.
