Girl For Sale's debut single 'Like Me Like That' is taken from her forthcoming EP, Seaspeak.
Rising lo-fi bedroom pop artist Girl For Sale has shared her impressive debut single 'Like Me Like That', taken from her eagerly-awaited upcoming EP.
Girl For Sale is the moniker of Belfast-based songwriter Candice Cathers. With indie-pop james penned in coastal towns and performed in cramped bedrooms, Cathers is heavily inspired by the likes of Broken Social Scene and Maggie Rogers.
Girl For Sale's writing leans towards the confessional; a mid-twenties sail towards self discovery. It captures the tone of a generation, weaving clever lyrics through unique guitar tones and comforting relatability. It makes for a hugely exciting first single.
“'Like Me Like That' is a song about meeting someone for the first time in a long time, and convincing yourself that you only like them in a casual, detached, chill girl way,” Girl For Sale says of the debut track.
Melding wistful, dreamy vocals with vintage electric guitar and spacey synths, Girl For Sale has confidently carved out her corner in the world of lo-fi indie pop.

Produced by Gary White and recorded over lockdown, ‘Like Me Like That’ features a remote choir of friends who recorded vocals at home, stretching from Omagh to Oregon.
