The Limerick quintet explore electronic soundscapes on their scintillating new single. Listen below
The latest offering from Hermitage Green sees the five-piece departing from their trademark folk airs. ‘Driftin’’ marks this shift with undaunted experimentation with the band’s sonic signature, following the acclaim of their single release 'All You Can Be.'
With the evolution of the band since they formed in Limerick over a decade ago, these new and unreleased tracks boast a tasteful palette of their forthcoming album, due later this year.
"'Driftin' is a song about a paradigm shift in perspective when someone experiences a life changing event or moment,” says Hermitage Green’s Barry Murphy. “Whether it’s when you lose a loved one, become a parent for the first time or make life changing choices we are all simultaneously completely alone and completely connected drifting through space on a giant rock so best we look after one another.”
