The musician latest single delivers a heartwarming ode to his home of Magherafelt, Co. Derry.
JC Stewart returns with a pensive and emotional tribute to his memories of growing up in the small town of Magherafelt, and his childhood in the postcode area BT45.
The stunning tender new single was released on Friday from his forthcoming album, Space Hurts.
'BT45' is all about nostalgia, youth, growing up and a love for Ireland, and is accompanied by Stewart honeyed vocals and masterful plucking.
Speaking about the song, JC said: “When I turned 19, I left to work on my career and it was only when I came back to my parent’s house during COVID - being with my family that I fully realised the magic of the place. There’s a beauty and enchantment in Mid-Ulster that I have never been able to replicate anywhere else.”
'BT45' was originally written as a song for JC’s family that was never meant for public consumption, and fans of soulful folk songs will be grateful it saw the light of day.
