Irish vocalist and songwriter Jillelli is back with her new sugary electro-pop track ‘You’re too Sweet.’ A catchy response to overconfident pickup lines, Jillelli’s new single is nothing short of delicious. Co-produced by Jillelli alongside Kevin Brennan and Jessica Richardson, the 90’s inspired house track pairs clever lyrics with an infectious beat and ear-worm melody.
The song comes accompanied by a mouth-watering music video directed by Kristian Mantalvanos, who had previously teamed up with Jillelli for her single ‘Stoic.’ The video, set in 90’s-style Dublin cocktail bar Lisa’s Yummy, features Jillelli as a waitress dishing out a variety of desserts and baked goods to hungry customers.
“Lisa’s Yummy naturally captured the palette of the song and was the perfect place for the music video,” said Jillelli. “We had to shoot in limited time, but the backdrop leant so effortlessly to the song that everything came together quite smoothly.”
Jillelli’s fifth release, ‘You’re too Sweet’ comes as a follow up to the singer’s summer single ‘Don’t Leave the Party,’ an upbeat dance track that accurately marked her as a pop artist to watch on the Irish music scene.
