'Bicycles' is the third single to be taken from Just Wondering's Float Over EP - set to land on June 17th.
Dublin band Just Wondering shared their brand new single 'Bicycles' last week, while announcing their debut project.
The outfit's 7-track EP Float Over is set to be presented as a continuous mixtape and punctuated with videos and voice messages of studio conversations, laughter and outtakes. The Float Over EP feels like a weekend in the studio of making music and good vibes alongside Just Wondering.
Track of the Day 'Bicycles' is the third song from the Dublin trio, and follows their recent standout singles ‘Drive’ and ‘F**k That’. Unable to spend hours together, with an idea on loop and bouncing thoughts off one another, 'Bicycles' was recorded unconventionally, last year, via WhatsApp exchanges and Zoom chats. It's a testament to the bond and deep friendship shared between Wale Akande, Jack O’Shaughnessy, Adam Redmond and their closest friends which is at the core of everything Just Wondering.
“'Bicycles' is about an ideal life with our mates, in the perfect setting” explains Adam. “Moving “slower” on bikes is a way of saying that taking it easy and not moving fast allows time to appreciate life. It's also about how, as we get older, being with friends feels more like being home than anything else, and obviously we miss all of our friends a lot these days.”
The new track features the laidback atmosphere, sharp pop-sensibilities and soulful-electronica that has earned Just Wondering a slew of fans with merely two singles to their name. With early BBC Radio 1 champions Annie Mac and Jack Saunders on their side, the band are surely going places.
Uniquely splitting all song-writing, production and musicianship equally between them, the friendship between Wale, Jack and Adam is what keeps Just Wondering chugging along during a global plague.

With Dublin as their backdrop they capture a simplified innocence for fun, grounded in an appreciation and offering a perfect antidote to the year just gone. With hints of the electronic sound of SG Lewis, Kaytranada and A.G. Cook merged into other genres, they're a fascinating talent.
