‘Wrong Side of the Town’ follows Kate Nicholson's previous offering ‘Street Lamps’.
Kate Nicholson has released her latest track in the form of ‘Wrong Side of the Town’, featuring Cormac Neeson of The Answer.
The blues tune marks the next single taken from the Northern Irish singer-songwriter's debut album Fallen from Grace - planned for release in January 2022.
The captivating offering features an unmistakeable American blues influence with catchy melodies, lyrics, and a stylish rhythm section from Mojo Fury’s front man, Michael Mormecha.
Speaking about the single, Nicholson said, “This is one of my favourite songs to date. I love the blues rock sound we have achieved using inspirations from some ‘Deep South’ Americana/blues music and some soundtracks I love, such as True Detective and Sons of Anarchy. ‘Wrong Side of the Town’ explores the often fine and blurry line that can exist between having a really great time, and that of self destruction. The song aims to look at this from various angles.”

‘Wrong Side of the Town’ further serves to see Kate emerge as one of Northern Ireland’s most distinctive songwriting voices. Herself and Cormac will be playing the song live for the first time at an "In the Round” night of music with Sound of Belfast on November 12th in the Empire Music Hall.
