Blanchardstown rapper and vocalist Kid Kuba is set to release his forthcoming EP 'A Bunch of Love Songs' later in 2021.
Emerging North Dublin artist Kid Kuba has released the first track from his upcoming EP, titled 'Push to Start'.
The rapper has had a keen interest in music throughout his life, having begun songwriting at the age of 11. After being introduced to a youth centre in his area, which came equipped with a recording studio, Kid Kuba started working on his sound and experimenting with music.
Thus far, he has dropped two singles since 2019's 'Bulletproof', and has featured on Systematic Entertainment Production’s 'The ChiChi Tapes' alongside Jay D'Angelo, Finn, JAY.P, Retro Sweepz, NONZUS MAGNUS and more.
Earlier in 2021 saw the release of collaborative track 'For The Weekend', featuring G-rdz.
'Push to Start' was released officially on May 7th as the lead single from Kuba's A Bunch of Love Songs EP. The track prepares us for a busy year of new music from Kid Kuba, leaving us anticipating what to expect from the rising star.
Taking influence from many R&B and neo-soul artists, 'Push to Start' has a style and production heavily reminiscent of Frank Ocean, 6lack and Bryson Tiller.

The track explores the complications of modern day relationships while allowing listeners to create their own story of attraction. When creating the new song, Kid Kuba wasn’t just focusing on love or friendship but also on society and money. Highlighting these topics offers listeners something to relate to but also gives them means to think about current situations and ways to escape the traps.
"I feel like I bring a form of versatility that isn’t just wanted in the Irish scene but needed," Kid Kuba tells Hot Press.
"I believe I am one of if not the most versatile artists in our scene and I know the rest of Ireland will believe me by the end of this year just watch me."
