Move over Olivia Rodrigo, LINDA is the freshest singer pouring her heart into songs that deal with navigating relationships and love in your 20’s, and her newest song is the ode to letting go of a hard relationship. Indie-pop singer LINDA has released her latest track ‘the lovers i envy’, a breakup anthem for those who can’t help but scrutinise every problem in their relationships.

The Irish artist describes the track as a “synth soaked anthem that incorporates elements of Indie, Drum and Bass, and Power Pop.”

“The song's upbeat feel is contrasted by its lyrics, which I wrote last year while navigating a break up. [It] covers themes of love and loss and learning to accept the inevitable end for the two lovers within this story,” LINDA said.

Recorded and produced by Patrick O’Donnell in Studio68 in Limerick City, and mastered by Nick Niker, ‘the lovers i envy’ is only the third single LINDA has ever released.

Her soft-spoken, heartfelt debut single ‘Letting you go’ was released in April 2024, and has already amassed over 8,000 streams on Spotify and secured LINDA support slots with The Neon Cars, Lloyd John, Dylan Flynn & The Dead Poets, CLT DRP and CHERYM.

‘Drivin in your car’, the release that followed saw the Irish singer embracing a more uptempo, The 1975 inspired sound.

LINDA has been quickly gaining recognition in the Irish music scene for her intimate live shows and captivating releases, with her music frequenting Irish radio stations such as Corks 96 FM, Radio Nova and BEAT.
