Lloyd John has released his new EP and its namesake single 'Sunkissed'.
Hailing from a small town in mid-west Ireland, Lloyd John is making his mark on the folk and pop music scene with his new single ‘Sunkissed’.
John described the track as “a bittersweet folk-pop narrative overlooking the joys of being present.” In his work, John pulls in inspiration from artists such as Noah Kahan, Dijon and Hozier, and in ‘Sunkissed’ John is able to create a track that is reminiscent of these artists, but still unique to him.
Influenced by his Irish trad roots, the track is a celebration of his culture and identity. John is a Irish and queer artist based out of London who aims to defy prejudice in the music industry.
In his work, John mixes elements of soul into his music that fills the listeners ears with gut-wrenching emotions that would bring tears to anyone's eyes.
John had his debut tour in 2023 where he sold out multiple headline shows in Cork, Limerick and London. When he first started, John bought a £30 microphone which he used to record and produce one of his first singles ‘Alive’. Now this track has over 1.5 million streams across platforms today.
