The Irish sextet released their debut EP, Desire back in 2021.
Dublin six-piece Loraine Club are returning with an '80s throwback-style new single, 'Sleepless Nights'.
Armed with their usual melodic vocals, synth lines and airy guitar riffs driven by driving bass and hard hitting beats - the band's musical influences range from 80s pop, Manchester Groove to elements of R&B and disco.
Jangly vintage guitar notes, warm instrumentation and lofi vocals make up the bedrock of 'Sleepless Nights', which was penned after a hazy night out after a band performance: "Too many sleepless nights / It's taking its toll on me..."
"The songs lyrical content is pretty self explanatory, I wrote it with a lovely hangover the morning after a gig we played in Tipperary at the end of last summer," Jordan Curtis tells me. "The idea was to make a kind of 80s rock pop song like Genesis or Toto also the guitar harmonies in the outro are also pretty Thin Lizzy inspired. We wanted to really embrace being a guitar band this year and give the recording a more live atmosphere to them."
2022 saw the retro rockers share two tracks, 'Fugitive' and 'Romeo', following 2021's debut EP Desire.

Loraine Club originally started as a casual group, when brothers Jordan and Zac Curtis (aka Prozak) began writing together after a collaboration between their two previous bands in 2015 - sparking inspiration for a new project.
The next years saw the pair join forces with friends Jonny Halpin, Brian Smith, James Connolly and Mick Keeley - all whom they had played with in previous indie outfits over the years. The goal this time was to bring something a bit different to the Dublin music scene, and they're succeeding in style.
