Northern Irish Bell brings ethereal vocals and captivating melodies forth in 'Fire and Smoke'.
Downpatrick native, Lucy Bell, released her stunning debut EP Emotion Pending last week, and with it came the stunning track 'Fire and Smoke'.
Sitting at track two on her aforementioned EP, the track features soaring soaring synth, explosive beats, and rhythmic guitar. Elegantly decorating the background chaos - Bell's smooth indie tones drape and layer across the track, building to a magnetic ending bridge and chorus.
According to a press release, Lucy's debut EP "delves into the melancholic process of heartbreak and mirrors the resultant five stages of grief. Beginning with cracks caused by deceit, the confusion of miscommunication, and naturally anger. Thus begins the descent into the regret of mistreatment and acceptance of hurt when you’re left with only your memories."

Exploring desolation from a broken relationship, Lucy guides the listener through the depths of broken-heartedness - surrounded by ethereal melodies, and epic instrumentalism.
Bell has a long history with songwriting despite just releasing her debut EP, being awarded Panarts Young Singer Songwriter of the Year back in 2018. Lucy went on from here to Nashville and ended up part of showcase performances, including a television performance that was aired throughout America and a slot in the famous Bluebird Café.
Carving a name for herself throughout Northern Ireland, the musician played to an audience of 10,000 at Dalriada Festival and brought her incandescent vocals to the main stage at Live at the Botanic Gardens and Belfast Pride. Bell has featured on TV and Radio such as BBC Radio 6, Cool FM, BBC Arts Show, Radio Ulster, and UTV as well as featuring in Hot Press previously as a "Rising Artist".
Her talents have seen her support a host of great Irish Musicians such as Cara Dillon, Una Healy, Nathan Carter, and Malojian, as well as performing an ‘in the round’ with Grammy Award Winners Benita Hill and Gary Nicholson, alongside Nashville Songwriter Hall of Famer, Tony Arata.
