The new single is the latest release from Lyra's upcoming debut album
Cork pop singer songwriter Lyra has released a new seductive single in the form of 'Drink Me Up'.
Produced by Swedish household name Nicki Adamsson, who has worked with Charli XCX and Zara Larsson, 'Drink Me Up' is a sexy new pop anthem.
The dramatic belter takes its inspiration from a one night stand. Lyra recalls: “simply put, it’s about having wild drunk sex and taking from the night what you want from it, when two people come together for the same thing.”
'Drink Me Up' has rich vocals with an almost tango-led tempo making it every bit as wild and sultry as its subject matter.
The song is intertwined with Lyra’s signature drum beats, her velvety voice that effortlessly plays wavers between lightness and depth, and fragility and strength, which immediately enriches the emotion in her words.
In typical Lyra fashion, nothing is spare in this track, huge vocals, huge, staccato piano, all making pop the huge sonic landscape that is 'Drink Me Up'.
