The Irish pop singer’s vibrant new single is a personal power anthem.
Irish pop icon Lyra has released a sparkling new single, ‘The Ending’. She has also shared the exciting news of a winter headline tour across Ireland later this year.
The new single serves as a form of closure for the songwriter. Lyra sings about the end of her relationship and the ensuing empowerment she felt in the realisation that she was finished with blaming herself.
Speaking about the track, she said: “It’s a power anthem to give myself closure. It’s a very true and raw biography about the ending of my relationship and the day I realised it wasn’t my fault and I was done blaming myself.”

Representing how when one door closes, another one opens, the song portrays the singer’s new beginnings. Lyra sings: “This is a letter to my ex, hope you see it. Hear the crowd scream, you said I’d never make it.”
The song was produced by Lyra herself, along with UK producer Phil Cook. They recorded the song in London during the summer.
Following the success of her debut album LYRA, the musician will tour throughout Ireland at the end of this year. You can purchase tickets here.
