The Dublin singer songwriter is back with her second single of the year.
“Noelle! you need to stop dating losers..." or so the voice note opening Noelle Carroll’s latest track goes.
Carroll’s latest single is her second release of 2024 and acts as an homage to the complications of dating as a young woman.
‘i kind of like (how you kind of hate me) is almost Phoebe Bridgers-esque ode to all the girlies in their twenties who know they need to cop one when it comes to dating but can’t quite seem to get the knack of it.
Speaking on the track which features the exasperation of friends as Carroll navigates dating in her 20, the artist says: "Tune in to find out if she takes the advice (spoiler alert, she does not!)".
With typical tongue and check humour, Carroll shared the track on social media along with a call out to date emotionally unavailable people:

‘i kind of like (how you hate me)’ is a pensive indie rock offering with fuzzy guitars and frank lyrics.
The single is disarming with lines such as: “you’re getting existential about the fact you were born/I’m thinking I’ve been watching too much internet porn”.
This track sees the artist continue to experiment with genres as she leans more into the indie rock side of production with layered guitars and hazy synths.
